To Be Or Not To Be?

Amid daily thoughts, some of which turn into conflicting ideas in your head, it is a constant battle between the thought of whether to be or not to be. This infamous quote had been spoken of unfathomable times however, it can be subjectively perceived. Often thoughts occur to us, but considering our social, economic, and cognitive strength at that particular moment - we decide to either head-on or step down to remain as we are.

This may sound confusing since these are rattled thoughts from inside my conscience, but with optimism that with each passing day, one day will be better than the one in the past or one that is to come ahead. Preaching is undesirable, complaining is negated and aspirations are safely let go of with a smirk by various bystanders, friends, or acquaintances as a cunning remark to our naivety. It certainly is not acceptable for many people to see others happy, or at least happier than themselves. Is it human nature? Or have we developed a deformity in our society that disables us from being who we are, who we want to become, and the goals we aspire to achieve?

Considering the barriers at hand in our country, it is anyways troublesome to get the basics done. But with hope comes opportunities, but over the past decade, the lines between opportunities and failure has become bleak - with more occasions resulting in disappointment there is a greater drop in hope and optimism.

One issue of being mentally and physically conflicted may be a result of having lived a different life in the past. Provided an environment that was safer, enjoyable, and achievable. Life seemed to have more purpose when you are given basic necessities through your social, economical, and political surroundings. The situation in Pakistan, as of now, is clearly not a good one. There is an ugly depiction of the possibilities among the youth of Pakistan. With limiting resources, facilities, and educational platforms, it is a growing fear & has resulted in over 50% of youth exiting the country since 2020.

Various thoughts cross my mind, as I write about the existing conflicting ones ramming through my head. It is apparent - the endless opportunities that lie at hand overseas, versus what you have available here. Despite availing of premium and high-end options, you will still get a satisfactory result from, may it be food, service, products, or quality of life is basically compromised in Pakistan.

Hopping back to the previous thought, for someone who hasn't had the luxury of living overseas, I think they may be more susceptible to accepting their surroundings. Perhaps more grateful than someone like me, who has lived overseas, in one of the best countries with the best resources and creative options to channel my energy. I just wish it was the same for everyone here. The chance to think outside their comfort zones, something challenging to kickstart their creative flair that would have no stopping.
